Pre-heat your french press, then discard water before brewing.
Add your ground coffee into the brewer, place the brewer on your scale, then tare your scale.
Begin timer. Bloom with 400g of water - ensuring that the grounds are totally saturated. At 1:00, break the crust that has formed and stir the slurry vigorously. We recommend using a wooden utensil so you don't accidentally crack the glass.
Pour the remainder of your water into the brewer until you reach the total of 800g. Place the plunger cap onto the brewer - this will trap in heat and aid in a better extraction.
At 4:30, slowly press down the plunger.
