This blend is named for Aldo Leopold, a revered ecologist and author. It is a coffee we roast a bit longer than our other offerings, with the goal of muting acidity, accentuating mouthfeel, and caramelizing sugars. Aldo's is roasted for our loyal supporters who are nostalgic for taste notes reminiscent of that classic diner coffee - strong, rich, bold. The Aldo's is currently comprised of a coffee from a single farm - El Diamante. The farm is owned by Don Francisco and his wife, Blanca Nieve, and they grow mostly caturra and catuai. We source this lot from our long-time partners in Nicaragua - Gold Mountain Coffee Growers.
