Winter Internship

It’s that time again! We are accepting applications for the next round of interns at 1000 Faces. This 14-week internship will begin November 10th. Interns will put in approximately 8 hours a week, split over two shifts weekly. This is a great opportunity to learn more about coffee, small business, and make lasting local connections. Interns will learn about day-to-day business and roasting operations at our Barber Street location, receive extensive barista training, and provide production assistance. All interns will exit the program having completed our Barista Certification program. We are always excited about meeting new, energetic people and look forward to welcoming this batch of interns into the 1000 Faces family. If you are interested, please email your resume and a cover letter to We look forward to speaking with you!

New Public Cupping Schedule and Brew Classes!

As 1000 Faces Coffee continues to grow in the community and beyond, that growth facilitates better interactions with our growing fan base. Please make note that our public cuppings will no longer be held twice weekly at 9am. They will, however, be held the last Friday of every month at 3:30pm. We will make announcements via social media to remind you of upcoming cuppings. This FREE event is a great way to observe and participate in what for us is an important, scientific tasting process. Cuppings allow the participant to begin to detect the nuanced differences in coffee from different producing regions and are also a great opportunity to continue to develop an attention to flavor profiles.

We’re also so jazzed to welcome our new Production Manager Christy Deor, our new Front of House Manager Nicky Jones, and our new in-house Graphic Designer Kylie Wagner. CLICK HERE for a photo of our new family.  Christy, Nicky, and Kylie have already been making positive impacts around the roastery, so come meet them and welcome them to our coffee family!

Nicky Jones: Your New Teacher

Nicky Jones: Your New Teacher

In addition to leading the public cuppings, Nicky will be hosting a new monthly Brew School. This free class will be offered once a month. Nicky will guide the class through the process of preparing an outstanding cup of coffee utilizing one of the many quality brewing devices in the world of speciality coffee. Each month will feature a different brewing device. This class is a great introduction to the methods, tools, techniques, and artistry used by top baristas. All tools used in Brew School will be available for purchase at 1000 Faces Coffee. Stay tuned for an announcement on dates and times of the Brew School!
