We're honored to work with our close friends at Creature Comforts once again this year to develop a custom coffee blend for their seasonal Koko Buni milk porter.  The Koko Buni milk porter combines toasted coconut, vanilla bean, cacao nibs, and 1000 Faces’ coffee, for a rich and ridiculously delicious winter seasonal beer.

Just like previous years, all winter long we’ll be we’re offering the very same coffee used in the beer for you to enjoy at home! Because of our shared passion for and dedication to quality, the coffee selection process intensifies each year. Through multiple cupping trials and cold brew tastings with the Creature Comforts team, we settled on a combination that not only perfectly enhances the beer but also proves to be a stellar cup of coffee.

We love to have fun with this coffee! It’s wildly sweet, complex, and fruit-driven.  We’re sticking with the rubric we decided upon a few years ago - an all Ethiopia blend of multiple processes.  The 2019 Koko Buni Blend is composed of ⅔ Dimtu Tero and ⅓ Duromina. The Dimtu Tero leads the way here, giving it a creamy body and burst of fresh berry flavors. Duromina adds both an additional layer of brown sugar sweetness and a touch of citrus acidity that makes Koko Buni Blend shine bright. We’re tasting: cherry, raspberry, peach, florals, hops, vanilla, brown sugar.
