Our first offer in the SLOW COFFEE PROJECT is this special micro-lot of Chocó Andes Coffee that has been meticulously cared for from seed to cup with the leadership, oversight, and technical assistance of the Fundación Maquipucuna. You can taste notes of chocolate, raw honey and friendly citrus.

This Chocó Andes coffee comes from Finca Orongo, which is located close to the township of Palmitopamba, but is really immersed majestically in the wild of the natural forest. Finca Orongo is part of the Maquipucuna Reserve located in the mountains of the Chocó Andes Corridor, one of the top 3 biodiverse hotspots of the planet. The “Slow Production” of Chocó Andes coffee is the result of a partnership between Fundación Maquipucuna and local mountain communities united in aneffort to protect biodiversity, mitigate climate change and alleviate poverty.
