Help 1000 Faces Support Nica HOPE!

Nica HOPE is a non-profit organization seeking to eradicate poverty in Managua City, Nicaragua and surrounding areas by offering educational, practical, and character building experience to youth and adults. The programs Nica HOPE offers include: child sponsorship which creates opportunities for completion of school and access to job opportunities, school attendance incentive projects in La Chureca such as lunch programs which attract students to school while improving their health, the Nica HOPE Computer Training Center which teaches basic computer skills, and the Vocational Outreach Program which equips students with real skills and training for future jobs. In addition to these projects, Nica HOPE creates opportunities for youth to participate in social and recreational activities.

Working directly with Nica HOPE, 1000 Faces Coffee has been given the opportunity to sponsor a boy's soccer team. This sponsorship will enable the team to purchase jerseys, cleats, shin guards, etc. With the combined efforts of the 1000 Faces team and donations from willing individuals, groups, and businesses, 1000 Faces Coffee is HOPEing to reach a goal of $1,000 by August 9, 2009. Please donate what you can! Whether it's $50, $100, or simply $1 or $5... every little bit helps! All proceeds will go towards our goal of providing Nica HOPE with the necessary funds to provide these children with the opportunity to make friends, have fun, exercise, and be a part of something!
